Lonergan is a classic unisex beanie with a lovely, stretchy squishy brim knit in brioche ribbing. Instructions for the basics of brioche knitting are included, so don't be intimidated by this pattern!

Sizes:

Small (1): Finished size 45cm / 18 inches, for teens or smaller adults.

Large (2): Finished size 53cm / 21 inches, for larger adults.

This Hat/beanie is designed for a snug fit with up to 10cm (4 inches) negative ease

Requirements:

• 1 x 200g ball of BWM 8ply Classic or Luxury wool 
• 4mm/US6 circular needles
• 5.5mm / US 9 circular needles
• 5.5mm / US 9 double pointed needles (or long circulars to work crown in Magic Loop)
• Yarn needle
• Stitch markers

Gauge:

15 sts over 10cm / 4 inches in brioche rib stitch (smaller needles)

15 sts over 10cm/ 4 inches in stockinette stitch (larger needles)
