Waffle Socks PDF

Designed by Caroline Panousis of Twist Designer Knits

The Waffle Sock has a wide, ribbed top and calf-length leg. There is a simple waffle pattern on the leg and the top of the foot. The toe is turned using German short rows. This means the seam sits on top of the toes rather than at the toe edge, for greater comfort.

The pattern is in two sizes; 1 ball of Luxury 4ply (200g) will suffice for each size. See below for sizing.

For intermediate knitters. The pattern is straightforward but is knitted in the round. Instructions are included for techniques such as German short rows and Kitchener stitch (grafting).

Sept 2025: Errata: for size Standard/Small, the heel flap instructions should say
Row 1: sl1, k32, turn
Row 2: sl1, p32, turn
The corrected version is online now. If you've already purchased this pattern and require the corrected file, please contact BWM.
